Event attribution

If we show a concert or a lecture, we say who published it, and we send you there. Credit is not optional.

Source name, official URL

A listing from Concordia still says Concordia. A West Fargo community event still points at westfargo.org. Ticketmaster Fargo is labeled as Ticketmaster. The importer is a fixed list — NDSU, MSUM, Concordia College, M State, West Fargo, and Ticketmaster Fargo — not a scrape of whatever ranked in a search.

When a feed is down

If a source is pending or empty, the product says so. Filling the rail with a made-up Bison game would be easier. It would also be a lie. Attribution includes the right to show nothing.

Why this is a glossary word

Because “events in the app” can sound like Help Me is the organizer. We are not. We are a cache with manners. Tickets, cancellations, and the last word live on the official page. Always open it.

Questions people actually ask

Can a campus post events directly into Help Me?

Publish them on the official campus calendar we already ingest. That keeps attribution honest.

Do you edit event descriptions?

We normalize listings so they can sit in one calendar. The source and official URL stay visible. Trust the official page for details.

Why is Ticketmaster in a campus list?

It is the regional show feed within about 35 miles of Fargo, credentialed on the server, and labeled as Ticketmaster. It is not a campus, and we do not pretend it is.

Help Me is a community app for adults in Fargo–Moorhead. It is not a K–12 student program, not a youth chat, and not campus police.
