A Wi-Fi toggle. A printer queue that is stuck. An iPhone setting. A login screen that looks haunted. Meet in a public place like a union, a library, or a coffee shop and look at the thing together. A neighbor might solve it in ten minutes. They might tell you it is hardware and walk away. Both are honest outcomes.
Campus print stations and Wi-Fi networks cause a surprising share of the problems, and the fix is often one setting. Knowing which setting is the whole favor.

NDSU, MSUM, and Concordia run official technology help. Use those offices for accounts, campus systems, and anything that needs an employee. A neighbor on Help Me is not a trained technician, not a student worker on a shift, and not a replacement for the help desk.
Do not hand over the keys to your life
Do not share passwords. Do not install remote-access tools for someone you just met. Watch the screen together, in public. If it feels wrong, leave, and report or block the member. If you think you are being scammed, contact the official channels. Helpers can apply to be reviewed by our team. Help Me does not run background checks.
Help Me is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
