Locations
The City of Fargo publishes three Fargo Public Library locations on fargond.gov: Main Library at 101 4th St. North (downtown), Dr. James Carlson Library at 2801 32nd Ave. South, and Northport Library at 2714 N. Broadway. Circulation questions are published at 701-241-1472. Hours change and differ by building — read the city’s Hours, Locations & Parking page before you go. All three have been closed Sundays in recent city postings; do not assume Sunday hours.
- Downtown parking: the city describes free patron parking in Civic Center / library lots east and west of Main.
- Cards, fines, and digital loans are library rules, not Help Me features.
- Moorhead has a separate public library system. Do not mix the catalogs.
As a meeting place
A staffed library is public, indoor, and easy to leave. Fine for a Help Me meet during open hours. Not a shelter, not a police department, not open because you wished it were.
