Life-threatening emergency: 911. NDSU University Police and Safety publishes a 24/7 line at 701-231-8998 and a contact page at ndsu.edu/police_safety. Search NDSU Police to confirm. Text-a-Tip is published at 701-526-6006.
- Safety escort: call 701-231-8998 and ask. NDSU describes escorts to campus facilities and adjacent locations.
- Report crimes and public-safety incidents to the University Police communications center at that same number.
- The Safety Office is a separate weekday office (published 701-231-7759) for non-dispatch safety programs.
- Fargo Police still exist off campus. NDSU Police will involve them when that is the right city desk.
What NDSU Police is for
Law enforcement on campus, emergency response, escorts, and official reporting. That is a public agency. Help Me will not pretend to be on their radio.
