Fargo

Downtown Fargo at night, without making the alley the meeting place

Broadway is walkable, lit, and public. That is the point. The point is also that a fun night is not a reason to share a home pin.

Use the street you can name

Meet on Broadway, in a lobby, at the Fargo Theatre sidewalk, at a restaurant entrance, at a ramp elevator that other people use. The Island Park side after the bars thin out is quieter than it looks on a summer postcard. Quiet is not the same as safe-for-a-stranger.

  • Label the public place in the request. Do not describe your apartment door.
  • Exact location stays off until you consent after accept.
  • A walk to a downtown ramp is a fair ask. A walk into a dark residential block is a worse plan.
  • If you are threatened, drunk-injured, or watching a fight, 911 — not a helper offer.

Official downtown

Fargo Police serve downtown. Emergency is 911. Metro non-emergency often goes through the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660. Confirm on fargond.gov if you are filing something that can wait. Online reporting exists for some non-urgent incidents on the city site.

After the show

Ticketmaster Fargo listings in the app are for finding the night, not for finding a ride. MATBUS is not a 24-hour night owl — check matbus.com for hours. A helper is not a taxi. Plan the last mile before the last song.

Questions people actually ask

Can I ask someone to walk me from a bar to my car?

Yes as a public, non-emergency ask. Meet in a lit doorway. Official police if you are in danger. A helper is not a bouncer.

Is downtown Moorhead the same page?

No. Center Avenue is Moorhead, Minnesota. Different police. Same 911. Same rule: public, lit, populated ground.

Help Me is a community app for adults in Fargo–Moorhead. It is not a K–12 student program, not a youth chat, and not campus police.
