South Fargo used to be the edge. It is not anymore. 32nd, 40th, and 52nd Avenue South, I-29, and newer neighborhoods like Osgood turned farmland into a second commercial strip. People live here, shop here, and get stuck here in the same January as everyone else in the metro.
Areas like Rose Creek and Prairie Grove add older trees and apartment buildings to the mix. Names differ, but the advice does not: pick a public place on a busy road.
Meet where the lights already are
Cul-de-sacs look friendly at noon and empty at 10 p.m. Default to a grocery entrance, a big-box vestibule, or a busy lot on 25th Street or 52nd Avenue. You label the public place. The map still shows a rough area, not the house three turns off the collector road.
