The rules nobody writes down
Plug-in block heaters exist here for a reason. Keep fuel above half in deep winter. Start the car before you clear it. Do not park where the plow will bury you. Tell someone your route if you are driving out of the metro. And when a neighbor offers a jump in a lot, that is normal here, not odd.
When it goes wrong
