No. When a neighbor says yes, a private in-app chat opens between the two of you, and that is where you coordinate. Your phone number is not handed over as part of matching. If you choose to share contact details, that is your decision, and keeping the conversation in the app until you have met is a good default.

Why in-app works better
A conversation inside the app is attached to the request. If something goes wrong, a report has context. If you block someone, the channel actually closes. A text thread on your personal number has none of that, and it outlives the request by years.

Enough to recognize you in a parking lot and no more. The map shows a rough area about 500 meters wide rather than an address, and precise location only exists after you agree, with one person, for the length of the request.

That is your call. It is not required for anything the app does, and you can stop at any time. You can report or block any member at any time, and delete your account from inside the app by typing DELETE. Helpers can apply to be reviewed by our team. Help Me does not run background checks.
