Help MeHelp Me

getting around

A local guide, not a tour bus

You landed. The grid is numbered and still confusing. Someone who already bought groceries in this cold can walk a public stretch with you and name the places that matter.

What “show me around” can honestly mean

Broadway. The difference between Fargo and Moorhead. Where West Acres sits on the west side. Which union is which campus. How 13th Avenue relates to 19th. A public coffee shop, a walk, a few names. That is a local guide on Help Me. It is not a paid itinerary, not a bar crawl package, and not a promise they will spend the day.

Meet in public, keep it a neighbor

Post local guide. Say what you actually need — “first week at NDSU, cannot find anything south of campus.” An approved helper may accept. Private chat. Public meeting place. They are not orientation staff. The campuses run official orientation. The newcomers pages on this site exist so you can read first and ask second.

Two states, one metro, still not a date

Cass County, North Dakota. Clay County, Minnesota. 911 works on both; county services do not copy-paste. A local guide can say that out loud. They should not be treated as a dating setup. Report and block if the walk turns. High school students are not this audience.

Questions people actually ask

Is this a paid tour?

No. Help Me is not a tour company. A neighbor might point and walk a public stretch with you.

Can they show me bars on Broadway?

Adults can meet in public. This is not a nightlife service and not a way to pressure anyone into a night out.

I am a new NDSU student. Is this for me?

If you are an adult looking for everyday orientation help, yes. Official campus orientation still matters more for the institution.

Help Me is a community app for adults in Fargo–Moorhead. It is not a K–12 student program, not a youth chat, and not campus police.
